The First Place Coworking Space
This company is a place where businesses can share the location and resources in a mutually beneficial relationship. There is also a lounge and a coffee shop for the public to enjoy.
Objective
We had the privilege of collaborating with The First Place Coworking Space on a logo design. For this project, we wanted to blend Art Deco elegance with a modern twist by incorporating gold, reflecting a fresh take on classic aesthetics. The goal was to create a versatile logo that could be easily cut into a sign for the building's front and translate seamlessly across print and digital platforms. We envisioned a design that included elements of the building's internal layout, using jewel tones to strike a balance between safety and creativity. The logo needed to embody the concept of "Creating Community in Downtown Danville" by highlighting the space as an affordable, inviting rental for entrepreneurs. It also needed to evoke the idea of a "first place" where businesses could thrive, with a focus on both work and play. It had to convey a sense of community, growth, and restoration, capturing the essence of a vibrant, cutting-edge environment where professionals could enjoy amenities and connect with others in a home-away-from-home setting.
To tackle this, we started by researching Art Deco elements and understanding the project's goals. We sketched initial ideas, focusing on incorporating the building’s shape and using gold and jewel tones. Next, we created digital drafts and ensured the logo worked well in various formats, from signage to digital media. After refining the design based on feedback, we finalized it and provided different versions for various uses, along with a style guide to ensure consistent branding. This approach ensured the logo effectively represented the building’s identity and met all functional and aesthetic needs.
Solution
After incorporating feedback, we finalized the design and supplied various file formats along with a guide on how to use the logo for consistent branding. This ensured the logo effectively represented the company's identity and fulfilled all functional and aesthetic needs.
